Vince Udry

has been in the industry for over 35 years. After winning contest for jewelry design at a young age in high school, he apprenticed his father for many years and took over the family business, Udry Jewelers of Pekin before he was 30. Vince continues to strive to further his excellence in jewelry design along with being involved in the communities that his businesses serve. He has been President of Pekin’s Chamber of Commerce and South-side Business Association.

“My favorite part about this job is that this industry touches peoples lives so intimately. Whether it is an engagement, anniversary, or birth of a child, we get to be part of that person’s lives. Not many careers get that kind of opportunity.”

Victoria Udry

Like many people in this industry, it is a family affair. I’m the third generation in my family that has grown up in a jewelry store. When other kids were learning colors, I was learning my birthstones. I cannot say it enough, that I am truly blessed to be born into a career I love. I attended college at Illinois State University and received my degree in Business Administration, but Corporate America is not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. The jewelry industry is so unique compared to most retail. Every piece of jewelry has a story. I may not remember your name, but I will never forget how that diamond ring was your treat to yourself when you beat cancer.
